A post-race veterinary examination and endoscopy revealed mucous in the trachea which may have affected the horse's performance. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Connections advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.

HOOF IT HAGRID - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room early in the run home. Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Dunn advised he elected not to shift wider near the 1300m due to the solid tempo of the race and that the gelding is unsuited to racing parked. Mr Dunn further advised that after obtaining clear racing room early in the run home the horse had failed to respond to his urgings and had only battled over the concluding stages. Stewards noted Mr Dunn's comments.

Stewards noted Mr Houghton's comments.
